- Function: The transmission adapter flexible flywheel kit is used to connect different combinations of engines and transmissions. It compensates for dimensional differences using custom flywheels and adapter shims to ensure smooth power transmission and is widely used in powertrain modification applications
- When to Replace: There is no fixed replacement interval. Please follow the principle of “replace when a failure occurs or when the transmission is disassembled”: If abnormal noises occur during startup, the flywheel is cracked, or the starter motor spins freely, the part should be replaced; when disassembling the transmission, it is recommended to replace it at the same time to save labor hours
- Maintenance Instructions: Regularly inspect the flywheel mounting bolts and tighten them to the specified torque to prevent loosening. When removing or installing the flywheel, check the gear ring for wear and the flywheel for deformation. Before installation, clean the surface and apply threadlocker to prevent loosening and ensure a secure connection
- Note:Not work with 1999-2000 LQ4 6.0 LS engines, specifically ones that came with a 4L80E automatic as they require a flat flexplate due to the "tall" crank flange
