Most companies choose instant testing because they want the results now. Negative results are often emailed in as fast as twenty minutes. From the time people walk into the office until they leave it is usually only 10 to 15 minutes. Not only do we provide fast results for the company we also provide quick service for the donors. However, in workplace testing, Oregon state law requires a non-negative drug test be confirmed at a SAMSHA-certified laboratory. There are two different results for instant testing. Negative which means negative for the presents of drug metabolite, the result of which are quickly reported. None-negative which means the sample was inconclusive and needs to go to the laboratory for further testing. If the sample is sent to the laboratory for further testing the final result will usually take and additional 24 to 72 hours once it has been received at the laboratory.

Since Marijuana has been legalized in Oregon but not federally, companies may choose to accept Marijuana or not accept Marijuana. Chemical Testing strongly encourages companies to include Marijuana in testing for safety-sensitive positions. All Department of Transportation and all Federally regulated tests include Marijuana. All federal Department of Transportation tests require laboratory base testing and are not instant.
